The Swiss Team ended the 4 Hours of Valencia on the first step of the podium in Challenge Proto category after performing the pole position in qualifying session.

For the seventh round of the Ultimate Cup Series, David Droux quickly made a great performance with the pole position during Friday’s qualifying session. The car thus started in first position for the race. As a reminder, the young Swiss driver achieved the pole position in qualifying session last week at Spa-Francorchamps, with the circuit record (2:12.239) in the European Le Mans Series.

David Droux was the first to drive the NORMA M30 car N. 7. Under the sun, from first place, he managed to keep the advantage against Team Speed Factory Racing’s N. 4 car. Droux gradually widened the gap with almost 50 seconds ahead of his challenger Daniil Pronenko.

Team Speed Factory Racing’s Ligier N. 4 took advantage of the Realteam Racing’s pit stop and took the lead. David Droux was then relegated P2.
Sébastien Page entered the track at mid-race. He fought against the GRAFF car N. 9 and managed to maintain his speed and keep his position.

In the third hour of the race, David Droux came back on track, he was then third and managed to reduce the gaps until reaching the first place within twenty minutes of the checkered flag.

This race marks the first victory of Realteam Racing. See you at Magny-Cours from October 18th to 20th in Ultimate Cup Series!

“The end result is more than good. 1st with Realteam Racing, 3rd with car N. 9 and 4th with car N. 6. The gradual rise of David is dazzling. I am very satisfied with the weekend, the teams have done a great job. The weekend is very positive.” – Pascal Rauturier, Team Manager

“I’m very happy to have won the race. We were very competitive all the weekend. We had the best times in free practice, the pole, the fastest time in the race, the victory. Despite the penalties we had in Ultimate Cup Series it was not yet won in advance with three forty seconds-penalties. It was therefore necessary that the whole Team had to work hard. Congratulations to Sébastien for his good pace in the race, we did not make any mistakes. It is an excellent period so we must continue like this!” – David Droux

“Magnificent victory! Perfect weekend, regularity and an exceptional car. Congratulations to the Team GRAFF and my teammate David Droux who once again showed us his talents as a very fast and precise driver!” – Sébastien Page

“I’m delighted to have left my place for David for this race. Congratulations to all the Team, I am very proud of what we accomplished this weekend!” – Esteban Garcia
